“At the beginning of any composition I write, there is an emotion at the center of it. It can be many things, a memory, a tribute, or a story of someone or something. The beauty of Music is the ability to give anything a voice.”

“My works are inspired by numerous influences. I love the structure of the Baroque era, but I also embrace storytelling and elements of newer music. Rather than composing for its own sake, I strive to create works that can take the listener on a journey, allowing all the elements of the piece to truly have an impact.”

“My path as a composer will be an expansive and exciting ride. Every work I have a chance to shape can present a new challenge to me as a composer, it can be an opportunity to explore unfamiliar ideas, refine my musical process little by little, and challenge my understanding of what Music can be. As my experiences and perspectives evolve, so will my creations.

“Whether writing for solo instruments, chamber ensembles, concert band, full orchestra, or anything else, my purpose remains the same: to create Music that connects with people on a personal level. If a listener leaves one of my works feeling understood, inspired, or simply moved, then the music has accomplished exactly what it was meant to do.”
